Fishing with small mesh nets, poison or electric devices kills young fish. Using traditional fishing methods and following regulations help to sustain fisheries and livelihoods, right now and for future generations. The employment of more sustainable practices is essential and initial achievements can already be recognised due to the widespread participation of the local communities.
